First Edits of the Music Video
To start the editing phase of our project we combined all of the scenes in one folder. Then we sorted them out the scenes equally and talked to each other about what platform we were going to use. We decided we were going to use shotcut since one of my groupmates Andy had used it before and he said it was a good software. So I first started off with the scene of me sliding down the slide. The first thing I added was smooth background music which we all decided on using to bring the video together better. Then I waited until Andy was done editing the scene after and I combined the two so that they would look good and it wouldn't be just a boring cut from one scene to another. The second scene I edited was the scene of me walking in the front door and waving. I added the background music again and I also added the sound of a knock so it was like I knocked on the door. Then max sent me his scenes and I then combined them to make it smooth just like I did with Andy's scenes. The next scene I edited was the scene of me looking out of a Ferris wheel. First I added the background music again. Then I looked online for a gif of a moving Ferris wheel. Then I cropped myself out of the video I recorded and pasted it on the Ferris wheel gif. Then a little bit of photoshop later and it was starting to look like I was actually on the Ferris wheel. Once I finished the photoshop I redownloaded the video files and made a new folder to keep all the files until we were done editing all of them. We decided that we were going to finish editing them first and then combine them all later. But then I ran into a problem. One of the scenes I edited wasn't very smooth so I deleted it and re-edited it. The second time around it turned out to be smoother. Well that's all for today. See you next time.
